Tom grew up in far left-leaning Evanston, roaming around Evanston Township High School with “Mr. Conservative” on his high school jacket and a Ronald Reagan binder with a homemade bumper sticker that said “52.7 Million Americans Can’t Be Wrong.” After serving in the Marine Corps Reserve and attending Loyola University, Tom became a high school teacher. His specialty is economics, the subject in which he won a nationwide teaching award (that came with $5000). He has lived in Rolling Meadows for 15 years and helped raise two fine young men.
